Husband grew up next to a Syrian-Lebanese family, their families pretty close. Sold rugs and did rug restoration. One of the members of the family was/is a high stakes gambler. What he did for a living. He lived on the corner and when he wasn't out traveling gambling there were always a number of cars in the drive and on the front lawn, always a game going on. For a couple of years there was always, so it seemed, a telephone repair truck sitting outside just down the street.
man, you have a gift for descriptive narrative. that took me back to my brief time in EP. I always felt the place had an air of desparate exuberance, or maybe exuberant desperation.
my wife and I would cross the river to buy tequila now and again. the last time I was in EP I had to go to Juarez on some business, and asked the secretary to arrange transportation. she refused to pick up the phone until I had given her the name and phone number of my next of kin, firmly believing that I would not be returning alive.
I dated Jimmy Chagra's son....you said you couldnt confirm he was in the witness protection...Well rumor isnt really rumor...
It is my understanding jimmy chagra is still in prison . unless ,he escapes he will die in prison .
i do not know why jimmy did not set up trust funds for his children instead
of blowing so much money in las vegas nv ..
Jimmy is out of prison and living in the southwest. He was Paroled out to Atlanta in 2003 and worked with me for 2 years.

I don't know how much truth is there in what you are saying. The fact that Jimmy's death happened happened almost 2 years before yo wrote this indicated your lack of research.
