when i was a kind of ski bum in kitzbuel, austria in 1968 there were about 10 of us low rent people in a decidedly high rent place. some how we got the notion to tie-dye our long underwear. when we weren't skiing we would congregate at one apartment or another to eat and smoke dope. our standard practice was to take off our outer gear and lounge around in our longjohns as there was a whopper of a temp difference inside to outside. we were a colorful lot after the tie-dying party.
