What book is this fun picture from?
It's from La litografía en México en el siglo XIX, or Lithography in Mexico in the 19th century. I inherited the book from my father-in-law. The scanned image is called "el Mágico," the magician, and is probably politically satirical, but the notes don't tell us anything. The book is a 1934 Mexican version of a tabletop book, oversize and printed on bad paper, now crumbling, and held together with industrial staples. Many of the images are anonymous, but this has the note that the artist is "Pinsón." The notes have no information whatsoever on this Pinsón.
Some of the stuff is really cool.
