What a spectacular photograph of that Checkered Skipper. I'll head over to your other blog and take a look at the larger format photos.
I do understand the limits of blogging, and the freshness of early posts (my own included). Still, you have a smart and clear voice in your political commentaries, and I'll miss that here.

I don't know if this site is still active or not. I noticed no postings for 2009.
I lived in El Paso and left there in 1979. I knew the Chagra family and many of the Syrian/Lebonese families in El Paso. I now live in Austin TX.

This blog is not active, in the sense that I no longer add new blog entries. (Its successor is not too active either, at least at the moment.) However, I continue to get readers and comments on old entries, and as it happens, the two blog entries on the Chagras are the most read and commented on of any I have done.
