You would do well to never move to Seattle. Or Phrump for that matter.
I have these same issues although not on your same level. It just seems to me that people should get dressed before leaving the house. This includes shoes and socks that match the rest of the ensemble. If I could be sock patrol I would rule with a very highly charged tazor. In fact, that is what a tazor should be used for.... people who wear white socks or sneakers with anything but jeans or shorts. I would be like the sock nazi purist screaming at people in the streets, if I could. Tazor in one hand and a martini in the other. This would be especially fun at church.
Now go iron your shirt properly!

Oh for the love of Pete! I love casual days. Now that I'm retired getting dressed up means putting on a bra.
When I worked at my Gov job, I always dressed casual unless I had a bid opening or job walk. Then I wore a suit or skirt and blazer with dreaded heals of course. I always kept a nice suit and crisp white blouse at work for emergency situations.
The rest of the time, it was casual...very casual.
Where can I find pajamas with cupcakes on them? And, can I have a virgin martini?

OMG. I am a girl who always does her hair and make up for school, natch. I try and look professional, plus my school is fairly casual. My casual Friday means wearing jeans and a school shirt. I never wear flip flops to school. I think it doesn't look professional. It would be much easier, but I draw the line at that.
I can't believe Pumpkin doesn't know what marabou is. Jeez.

I doubt Pumpkin liked this post very much even if she doesn't know what a marabou is.

OMG, you're hysterical. Now I am a fan of casual Fridays and actually have casual everydays at my place of work BUT I do agree with you on what casual should mean. It's business casual. People who wear sweats or cut offs or even nice jeans with holes in them should know better!
Thanks for your visit last week, it was great to see the name.
