I am so doing this before October. My very own mother read your blog today (because I sent it to her to read about apple butter) and she said, "On the way home from work I am stopping to buy a jar and I am eating it on biscuits all by myself." Who would have thought apple butter would bring up so many good things in our minds!
Does apple butter go well with an apple martini or do we just add the vodka into the apple butter and eat that with a spoon?

OMG! That recipe is too hard for me. 12 steps!? I'm better off getting flight tickets and coming down there to have apple butter, apple martinis, and an apple smoke with you. You know, since you have gone all domestic on us, and all.
It just sounds delicious, though. I really do think Mom #2 and I will have to take a weekend and give this a try. I haven't had apple butter since I lived with my grandparents on their farm. Believe me, I don't get to farms very much these days, LOL.
