Man, if they don't realize that this President of theirs is his own weapon of mass political destruction, then they're a raving bunch of illiterates.
Everything with an R-State Name after it is tainted.
And, yes, I love using the word taint when it comes to Republicans.

Voter ID has nothing to do with election fraud?

I think you've missed the wider picture here. Barbour is setting himself up for a run at the seat in 2014 pure and simple. Why else pick the weakest congressman from THE SAME FREAKING county as the senior senator?
Birth of a Nation? Really? Who's race baiting now oh willbardwell.com?

I have no idea who this "other" Will is... but can someone translate?
OHHHHH. Ok, a stab at it. Wicker is weak and Haley nominated Wicker because Haley plans to run for Wicker's seat in 2014? (That's my best guess at that comment).
I can't buy that either. Many Republicans I know somewhat wished Haley would have appointed himself (or Phil Bryant) to the seat. Had Haley had a strong desire for that seat, he could have appointed himself and (obviously) easily defeated Musgrove.
No doubt, Haley has ambitions after finishing his term as Gov... as do many others (again, Musgrove's name comes up). If Haley really wanted to set himself up to win that Senate seat earlier, he would have appointed a weak Democrat. It'd be brilliant... put a weak Democrat in now and that Dem would pretty much be forced to be the frontrunner in November. Haley would have avoided any heat from Jim Hood and could have put out TONS of ads on how he was "willing to work over party lines" (which seems to be a big thing in campaigns).

I get it. "Birth of a Nation" is that KKK movie. So racists are automatically Republican. I geeeeeet it.
Quote from "30 Rock" a few weeks ago:
John: Kenneth, who are you voting for?
Kenneth: Its against my religion to cast judgment, so instead of voting, I just write-in Jesus's name.
John: We count that as Republican.

The vast majority of Republicans aren't racists, but anyone that takes joy in speaking to the Citizens Council raises a red flag.

Yeah, that and nuclear weapons.
I think some of you guys missed the boat on that joke. Or maybe I took the boat alone. Either way, you and I are not on the same boat, which is unfortunate.

Maybe that's why voter ID was added to the Legislature's special session docket by Gov. Haley Barbour, who reportedly is also prepared to employ poll taxes, an electoral college, nuclear weapons, and all the extras from "Birth of a Nation" to save his precious Senate seat from the dastardly menace of democracy. Yaaay!
How in the hell is having someone show their ID a partisan issue to you? I feel like I'm talking with howard dean.
