Mikey - sorry to put the pressure on. I was wondering if there was a clear winner. I'm still gonna leave both places on my list of restaurants in Vegas to try. You've spoken highly of Metro for so long, I can't ignore the place.

And if there's anything better than eating at a good pizza place, it's eating at two good pizza places. Or three, or four,....

Now can you find me a place that serves leftover pizza for breakfast?

Gravatar Mike, one bone to pick....they will make a pizza crust as thin as you want at Metro. After 41 years in New England (and lots of pizza eaten, both in NY and Boston) and 5 years out west, I thought Metro was about the best I'd had.

We went there last week, my San Gennaro was so thin I could've read the paper through it...

BTW, Keith Urban can't carry Merle Haggard's guitar pick.

Gravatar We have the same problem with getting a beer here when we order pizza, and someone other than the person who takes our order brings the beer. I found out the answer the other night, you have to be at least 21 to serve beer and the person who took our order was 18 so they have to get someone older to bring the beer..

Gravatar Well, the last three times I've been there, the person who took our order was easily beyond 40 years old. Still no excuse for the poor bar service.

Gravatar Howzie, you're right...you can order a thinner-crust authentic NY-style pizza at Metro. But it's not their standard like at NYP&P.

Just like I can go to McDonald's and order a fish sandwich, but nobody is gonna consider the place a seafood restaurant.

Gravatar Great Post. I'll update my blog and web site which assists folks looking for real New York Style Pizza all across the country. Tom S.
