Mikey, agree with you on the Hornblower books...truly wonderful to read. I just finished the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian - it's 20 books, but reads like one big novel a couple of thousand pages long. Fair warning - if you read one, you'll want 'em all...fortunately you can get them at used book stores or eBay for cheap.

Watch "Burn Notice" on USA Network; pretty good series. Also if you haven't seen it, go see "The Hangover". It takes place in Vegas and its very funny.
bill simmons is the greatest writer!!!! everything he writes is humorous! you may want to checkout his draft day blog on page 2....yes it's basketball, but it's a funny read!
Hoops, don't worry. Casino-funk sickness is common amongst dealers and sometimes it takes weeks to shake, with no particular rhyme or reason!

Do you have a public library card? That's the 2nd thing I get after I move any place new (1st being a drivers license 'cause you'll need that for the library card
