I do the same thing as for as refusing to turn on the heater during this time of year (I live in the desert too - Phoenix). But whenever I use the oven for anything, I leave it open as well to let the residual heat leak out to the rest of the house.
Speaking of the WSOP telecasts, did you see Phil Ivey pitch his flush into the muck? My jaw dropped, and then dropped again. A rare sight.

Dougie, it's funny you said that. There were actually close to 60 people there, ranging in age from 25-75. A couple of people commented to me that I attract all types! Most of the older folks were from the Henderson Writers Group, but there were also lots of friends and people from work.
