The political party of "the Chappaquiddick Kid" and "Dr. Dean" becomes more ludicrous by the day.
Worse, the Democratic Party is endangering the safety of our troops and our national security. It is the media and the leftists who are humiliating the United States and damaging our credibility--not the situation at Gitmo. Why don't we blast all over the media what the Iraqi terrorists do to prisoners? Sawing off heads, videotaping the gory slaughter, and prancing around like savages with the blood-dripping remains are much, much worse.

Your commentary clearly shows that, compared to past prison camps, the Gitmo detainees, aka TERRORISTS, (Yes, I'm shouting) are being coddled. The leftists need to quit their whining, which verbally aid and abet the enemy.
Several months ago, Vice-President Cheney showed great restraint in merely telling that sycophant Leahy "Go f--- yourself." Leahy deserves worse now.
Mustang, good job. You hit a grand slam, threw for a 80 yard touchdown pass, and made a three-pointer from midcourt, all in one post.
But, there is one thing I would disgree with. Listening to hours and hours of Michael Jackson IS torture.

The Left isn't Right. And, I hope they continue to head towards the dustbin of history.
Patrick Leahy maybe a "demagogue." He may be a left-wing liberal. He may be a liar and hypocrite. He may even be un-American.
But Leahy is the elected senator from the State of Vermont.
By speaking as he did on the Senate floor, vice-president Cheney's words were disrespectful to the people of Vermont, to the U.S. Senate, and to our Constitutional form of government.
At the very least, Cheney displayed poor taste in violating the rules of conduct of the Senate.
If the vice-president feels he must speak in such a way, then he should wait until he leaves the Senate chamber.

Leahy, not to mention the meatheads that continue elect him, are fortunate that public thrashing with canes (See: American History 101) are not still in vogue.
What Mustang states in this offering is worthy of all our ire, and not polite chiding for us to all be good little boys and girls.
BTW, do you harangue the "entertainment industry" for all the filth that they routinuely put forth -claiming it is art and/or culture - in the naked desire just to gain more money...regardless of the harm done?
