Mustang, they don't care for the troops, they really don't care for the terrorists. They just want a bandwagon to jump onto, for political purposes. They are the worst kind of snakes.
If Bush hadn't gone to war after 9/11, their mantra would have been, "He did nothing, he just let them kill thousands of our people and did nothing". They would have beaten it into the ground, ad nauseum.
Any stand they can take against the president, pro or con, they will use to buy votes.
(They really don't care about the poor in this country, until the President does something that gives people the opportunity to better themselves. Then they get scared that more people will actually better themselves and then they will lose votes.)
Prisons make easy targets for the opposition party. Years ago I worked in state government, the opposition party was the GOP. Whenever a controversial incident of any kind went down in a prison (whether true or not), they put the hammer down.
It's all politics, it's just the way politics work. Normally during peacetime, I wouldn't care. But this Gitmo situation is highly damaging to our image and everytime one of these leftists screeches about abuse, it gives aid and comfort to the enemy and a rallying cry to keep them coming at us.
Every one of them should be tried for treason. But since that won't happen, I will settle for their resignations and retirement from public life.
Why isn't the information in Gordon Cucullo's article being broadcast far and wide? Compared to the puling about alleged abuse at Gitmo, the truth doesn't get on scintilla of coverage.
We are at war, and in this age of lightning-fast communications technology, the moronic utterings of the whiners, the Democrat politicians, are picked up by Arab media and are used to inflame the ignorant and those sworn to our destruction. Visit the Al-Jazeera or the CAIR websites.
Those detainees at Gitmo are not the "good guys." Our troops ARE, and they are showing remarkable restraint in not firing away.
Furthermore, any alleged abuse of the prisoners at Gitmo in no way compares to what they would do to us, given the chance.
The events of 9/11 are indelibly imprinted on my brain. As I type this in, 9/11 survivors are still undergoing excruciating painful physical therapy as a result of the "abuse" perpetrated on them, innocent victims of an attack perpetrated by the psychotic megalomaniacs which Oriana Fallaci calls "the sons of allah."
I'm getting too angry to go on....
Thanks for bringing this story out. The bleeding heart liberals of the world need to walk a mile in the soldiers shoes to get their "reality" in check.
AOW hit the nail on the head when she asks why this story isn't all over the MSM. While liberals (including the press) deny a bias in news reporting, I have to ask, "Oh yeah? Then why isn't this story on every front page and the headliner of every radio and television news broadcast?"
We know why. Damned 4th estate!
