Well Mustang,
It looks like you have assured yourself that a Chinese official will have your site banned from search engines in China, after this post is read.
1. I am sure your sleep will not be affected.
2. Welcome to the club.

You’re right, LA. I can’t imagine what I must have been thinking. On the other hand, given my readership track record, I would keel over if there were suddenly more than a billion hits added to my visitor stats.

via beamish: "Blogger itself is blocked by China's "Project: Golden Shield" (the "Great Firewall of China") that keeps Chinese citizens from accessing large chunks of the internet (Historically, all leftist governments have had a vested interest in keeping their populations docile and ignorant)."
you can go here to see if yours is blocked and you can put their logo on your sidebar.
my blog IS blocked in china, although i've had a few chinese visitors in the past - they must be using some sort of filter.

Not yet, Nanc . . . but we can always hope, eh? It isn't as though the people of China (who can read) will become so incensed about the forced extraction of human organs to rise up and demand an end to such practices. They are probably grateful that it isn’t them who are targeted.

Some of the dismembered corpses touring the nation with that sick ass Body Worlds 3 freak "art" show were once Chinese prisoners.
I wouldn't count on China developing a conscience any time soon.

The pkblogs link Nanc relayed above directs you to a page that will generate a URL to a mirror of your blog, in case you or some of your friends want to read your Blogger blog but can't because you or they are connecting to the internet from Pakistan, India, Iran, or China (Those nations block Blogger at the DNS level). This will work until those nations block pkblogs, of course.
To actually see if your blog (or any website) is blocked in China, go here.
As Nanc quoted me above, Blogger is blocked by China, as is the American / English version of Google.

Okay, it's official. I'm blocked. Now I'm really pissed. That's it. I'm not buying any more Chinese made toys.
I would say that I'm not going to Wal-Mart anymore, but I can't do without everything . . .

Google here in the States blocked my blog for a while--with regard to "alerts." Interestingly, when I posted the identical article elsewhere, I got the "alert."
Lately, AOW comes up in Google Alerts. But for how long?

When it comes to Falun Gong and the Chinese government, it reminds me of the bumper sticker I've seen: "Has your religion been approved by the ATF?"

Thanks, Nanc. Done.
Hi Mustang. I have not bought anything (except this computer) from China since June 1989, and I intend to keep it that way. My computer is very old, but I don't care...hey! You want to go into business together making the hard drives and computers? We could then at least have a choice. Where's all the democraps who believe in choice? lol.
Thank you for stopping over and voicing my outrage. After all, how do they think we beat the Brits? We certainly did not sit down and sip tea! (It was all in the harbor. LOL) No, during war we should allow our trained warriors do what we trained them to do...kill and break things.
They can always move to Iran if they don't like all the freedoms they enjoy here. Argghhh.

all thankx go to beamish, rosemary.
i'm much more conscious about everything we purchase anymore - i've taken to buying some fresh and perishable stuff from a local amish pantry - it costs a little more, but my conscience is a little more clear also. their fresh baked bread is to die for and they sell locally grown produce!
we are fortunate where we are as this is cattle, pig, chicken and turkey territory - so you can purchase any of these animals relatively inexpensively and raise them for little or nothing (depending upon what you feed them) - the local butcher will slaughter, clean and wrap just about any LARGE animal for $65. we do our own chickens when we have them and gather their eggs.
anybody looked at wheat and grain futures lately? it's pretty sad.

Dear Nanc,
Thank you. Thank you, Beamish!
It sounds wonderful about having fresh meat, but I am truly a woos. I would fall in love the animal before I could get it to the butcher. Oh well. Do they sell over the internet? How does that work, them being Amish and all? Hmm. Have a nice day, all.

they're wonderful people!
most of their products can be bought over the internet - there are various vendors - for instance, there is a family opening a cake company in our town and they ship all over the u.s.
as for the particular store we buy from, they're like a little mom and pop store with goodies from everywhere and also sell grains and dried goods in bulk.
when you're raising meat to eat, it's not so hard once you taste how much better it is WITHOUT all the hormones and antibiotics - once our daughter wanted an egg sandwich and we were out, so i said, "go to the hen house and get some!" she did!

I may be wasting my breath here, but our embassy did conduct undercover investigation in China and found the allegation not credible:

An anit-communist dissident in DC also sent investigator and found nothing:
