I'd say most people in Gaza care about their children like anyone else and have to raise them in conditions far worse than Americans imagine.
They don't control Hamas any more than they control Likud and they are stuck while these two play another round of Idiot's Delight.
Of course when it comes to Palestinians they all must accept the American right's (who know nothing of their condition) branding with collective guilt.

Duck, I think you would be hard-pressed to find another culture in the world that would use children as human shields or use them in suicide attacks. (Certainly not in the US or Israel, two countries in which you seem to blame all the ills of the world on.)

So, you are saying that the good citizens of Gaza didn't vote these thugs into power? If memory serves me correctly, in 2006 the voters in Gaza voted over 50% of their representation in the Palestinian parliament into power. Then, if that wasn't enough, in 2007 Hamas seized control of the entire area and began a reign of terror that has led us up to this point.

Truth is truth. Guilt is guilt. There are no perceptions when dealing with these entities. Either they kill innocent people because they are not Muslims or Muslims that do not agree with their violent ways, or they don't. They either fire rockets into Israel unprovoked, or they don't. Which would you say it is in this case?
LA: Any expectation you may have that you can persuade Ducky through logic or common sense is utterly futile. I'm only telling you this as a public service so that you will not become frustrated with the left and start kicking your housepets.
They're not concerned about the children. By reporting these casualties, Hamas is gaining support by the American media.

Funny, all the Palestinians would have to do is ask their rich arab brethren to finance a country for them instead of financing cartoons to teach their kids to hate Jews, but it's Israel's fault. Right!? You'd think they'd want peace but the arabs are too invested in the PA's scratching the ISraeli scab as often as possible...letting them bleed ....

You're right, Mustang, as usual.....I guess it's a bit hackneyed to quote Golda here because I've done it at my site lately and so have others, but I stand behind her statement.."There will only be peace when the arabs love their children as much as they hate the Jews".
They have NEVER cared for their children or any children for that matter, since they use them as human shields.
However, they are doing so now to get the support of the liberal saps who are protesting against Israel.

Pretty easy to give everyone in Gaza the tone, but we can't say the right has a fondness for thorough analysis.

Okay, then I think the question becomes why? How did this happen? Did the majority of Palestinians vote them in because they agree with the Hamas charter that calls for the destruction of Israel? Or or they being intimidated into it?
If we take a good hard look at this, we can see that for generations, hatred for Jews has been taught in the schools. We also know that children have been solicited to commit acts of terror and violence against those that do not share their views.
For some reason Ducky, you are not able to articulate that this is unacceptable behavior, and you continue to make excuses for it. You blame the US, the right-wing, Israelis and anyone else that sees this, but you do not assign any accountability to those that launch rockets and continually call for the annihilation of a sovereign state.
Have you condemned the protests that have called for the ovens to be fired back up? Or would you have us all try to understand why they feel that way, automatically assigning blame to the afore-mentioned entities, which you are so quick to condemn on almost every topic?
If you have and I missed it, now would be a good time to repeat it for all of us to see. Shouldn't be that hard, should it?

Hamas doesn't care about any children - in Gaza, the West Bank or in Israel. Nor, do they care about women and civilians. They do not value life at all - they value death. That is why there is no reasoning with them.
Any number coming out of Hamas or the UN on dead Palys can be dismissed as garbage and pure propaganda.
I wonder where Islam stands on using children as human shields and propoganda tools? I only wonder because no on from the religion has come out and demanded that they stop doing it.
Islam is a demonic religion that does not think or feel. No emotions, no conscience. Just act and kill. Like robotic clones and if their children and teens perish, so be it. After all, they are going to get those 70 virgins. Yep, they will get them, in hell and they will be the swine of pigs from the pit of no redemption.
Of course Ham ass is concerned about the children getting killed. They need the number to be as high as possible for the maximum impact. If only a few children died, they would not have nearly as much sympathy. If Israel wasn't killing enough, My guess is that ham ass would kill more and blame it on Israel's bombing. In fact, they probably are already doing just that.
I have a Muslim leaving comments at my blog. How can anyone think the people of Gaza are not guilty when they themselves elected the terrorists, Hamas, to power?
Van Helsing has a post featuring several photos of "children" hold AK-47s and explosives. Perhaps these are the "children" they speak of??? The double standard and slants at CNN are only surpassed by NYT, IMHO.
By the way Ducky, answer this. If someone puts a "hit on me" and wants to see me dead, how would "opening communications" change that?
It has been proven over and over, you cannot negotiate or communicate with extremists who want to kill everyone who does not agree with them. Quit acting like they are sane. Sane people don't behead civilians on film for broadcast on TV! Why don't you go over and "open communications" with Hamas?
Hamas doesn't even care about the lost lives of Arab/Moslem children. All that Hamas cares about is furthering the goals of the organization's charter.
It's quite simple, really.
But it's also a concept which most Westerners can't or refuse to recognize as the concept is so barbaric as to defy any logic we understand.
