The cartoon was made many years ago. I have kept up with the times, I now have a mustache and goatee.
I find it very interesting that the Colonel would feature music from a group of communist heathens, like we see in the sketch above the post. It's not the appearances of said heathens that concern me, it's the fact that the Colonel continually disparages his friend LA for his choices of music, drawing ill-advised pharmaceutical histories from them.
I know that LA is a fan of the Moody Blues, but had he posted this music on his weekly feature, the Colonel would have belittled it to no end (just like he did on LA's post, today).
What the Colonel doesn't want you to know is, he was saturated with Jim Beam in Vung Tau, while LA may have been at home in psychedelicland. The number of brain cells killed are the same, only the methods were different.

Oh Gunny Asche needs to put a sock in it!!! The Moody Blues was an excellent selection on Mustang's part and they have nothing to do with "commies", of which I think "the gunny" may be a little OCD about! I think a little duty in NK would do the boy some good!!!
