MY VIEW? heh heh...you had to ask!
Ya, this video definitely showed at least one thing: THE MEDIA WON OBAMA THIS ELECTION. When the interviewer asks "Who's the redistribution fan?" and these voters didn't KNOW? And they aren't familiar with AYERS? WHAT? Were they not LISTENING?
But, they SURE did know that anything negative was...SARAH! or REPUBLICAN! And they figured "it HAS to be Republicans who've been in control the last 2 years because we're in such a mess!" right? WRONG! But, the media lets them think that!
Problem is, they COULD have listened, but nothing was forthcoming...thank goodness for conservative blogs and the TRUTH. Semper Fi, Mustang....we have to continue to be faithful to the truth!

....What is your view?....
My view is that we have to find some Republicans with DEEP pockets to buy these God damned news channels so we can FIRE the idiots that call themselves "news people", then just maybe the public will have a chance to hear the truth!

Mustang, I've seen this video before and it makes me sick to my stomach. The issue of bringing tests back to the polls is a very very controversial issue (due to the literacy tests that were given out to prevent blacks from voting). I'm all for giving BASIC tests to voters though. A simple test would consist of as follows:
1. Who are the two main candidates?
2. What parties are each of them from?
Very simple. I'm not asking what the three branches of government are or asking voters to recite the pledge.

We're always going to have stupid people voting. We're also always going to have to fight fraud with some voters casting multiple votes, some people registering dead and fictional people to vote so that new votes can be "found" when necessary and so on. We're also going to have people who are NOT stupid, but who are seriously misinformed voting.
The political class (the only part of class warfare that I believe in is the political vs. the non-political class) has a vested interest in keeping the information that is available to the electorate as dumbed down as possible. A lot of the "special interests" do as well. As long as the people are poorly or mis-informed and as long as they are kept from a knowledge of civics then the results of elections will be little better than the results of flipping a coin.
I don't really believe that the electorate is that polarized that 1/2 of us are socialists and 1/2 of us are conservatives. Exit polls don't indicate that either. Rather, about 20% are liberal/socialists, about 34% are conservatives and the rest are clueless or poorly informed.
The solution isn't civics tests, but real education provided citizen to citizen. As conservatives we've got to educate each other, and we've got to educate the 46% of the electorate that can still be persuaded to take a rational view -- if only someone will teach them rather than merely entertain or indoctrinate them.

I think that ignorant citizens has always been a problem to some extent. But in my experience with talking to such ignoramuses, they didn't vote.
This year, they did vote.
Why?
1. The Obama Team rallied these voters and got them to the polls.
2. The media influenced voters more than ever before. The Information Age has turned into The Age of Fluff Information and Disinformation.

I, too, have seen this video and it leaves me speechless.
To vote for a person or persons whose platform the voter ascribes to the opposite Party is just too much to contemplate, as is a total lack of understanding about one's own Party's platform.
Grrr!

I think this reveals that what is passed off as education these days is really liberal mind washing. They have done a fine job of programming many young people! It was the youth vote that made a huge difference for Obama.
Of course, we also have stupid old people...
My 9 yr old nephew could have answered these questions. Maybe he should be allowed to vote.

My view is that there are too many who have little knowledge regarding the issues of the day, and even less interest. The Obama comapign won because he was "cool", meaning he wasn't a 70 year old guy who was a war hero in a place they can't find on a map and 18% of them weren't even alive when it happened.
It is an indictment of the education system in this country. There simply isn't any type of depth to history lessons or current events.
Nice work Mustang.

How in God's name can we have anything approaching quality on government when the majority of the citizens are near idiots?
Just asking.
I might add, I am a high school drop out from long ago, but never stopped reading and learning.

It is easier for a person to vote than open a bank account in this country. Now what does that tell you about the state of affairs of the nation as a whole.
My daughter recently moved to Texas to be with us. She went to work for Texas Women's University only a few weeks ago. It is strongly suggested that they open a bank account for their paychecks to be direct deposited if they wish to be paid on time each month. She went to the bank with a small check for 4 days work to open her account. The bank refused to open an account because she did not have a current valid drivers license(her's expired during transition) She had her TWU valid identification with picture, the check issued in her name but yet could not open an account.Blame the Patriot Act they say.
To vote all she had to do was go to a registration site, sign a statement that she was who she said she was, presented her expired drivers license from NC, and bingo she was signed up to vote.
Now just how totally messed up is this. At least she knew who was running and what each stood for, but she can't open a bank account, she might be a terrorist.

Mustang, We will just keep plugging and hope some of what is happening will be seen for what it is.....The biggest problem as we all see it,,,They have been bombarded for over 7 years with 1/2 truths and outright lies and have come to believe what they hear,(they call it brainwashing). Call an apple a pear long enough and people will start to call it a pear and believe it.......Great post as usual...stay alert......stay well.....

We find it incredible that people let the media make up their mind on how to vote but you do have to remember that a sizeable protion of the population let's celebs like Paris Hilton help them decide which products to buy. They're morons.

It is really amazing that these voters were more familiar with Palin's wardrobe than domestic terrorism and promised socialism. They should really pass out IQ tests at polling stations.

Another insightful one, Mustang.
For the record, here in Houston, we have to produce a valid drivers license with correct address. Otherwise, as I saw with my own eyes, a provisional ballot will be issued. The bank account issue is important. Especially in the Dallas area, as well. Cutting off funds for terrorists is essential. I was just at a private screening of "The Third Jihad" this evening and it is quite an eyeopener.

I seriously think there should be a simple test to be taken prior to voting.
talk about a low voter turn out.
At least we'd have a different result!
