I really recommend that you really use LinkReferral (that where I found your blog). It is a great source of traffic and referrals.
Also when I was doing my blog, what I did is had a post that listed all the sites and blogs I found on my blog topic. It worked wonderfully as some blog owners felt obliged to write back a comment and some of them even became regular commenters, so I really recommend it for you.
I haven't tried this, but in one of the many newsletters I am signed up with suggested that you contact some big reputabe websites and offer them a free space for their banners. This would increase the reputableness of your blog, bringing in more traffic (and hopefully more referrals also).
