Petro needs to recuse himself from this now, before it becomes even more of a farce than it already is. He's tainted - he took money from Noe and he's got his own loyalties to the state RNC who also took money from Noe. He can't be counted on to be a good advocate for the state in this case, and even the appearance of impropriety should be enough for him to recuse himself and get a special prosecutor of some kind appointed to the case. I don't know how that would work according to Ohio law, but it damn sure needs to be done.
Why would Democrats care how something would work under the law? They've never seen themselves beholden to it before.
