Dude, ever see LITTLE ANNIE FANNY? It was in Playboy all the way up to the 70s, if memory serves. I linked over at Ren's, but here is a famous one. Look at the guys (except for J Edgar Hoover, who was of course, gay, and not interested in Little Annie Fanny) and then look at the guys in Heart's comic. And the female heroine is a dead ringer, with updated hairstyle (but not hair color!) of course.
I am dumbfounded Heart ran that comic, it's like she has turned into Hef!
Yeah, I remember Little Annie Fanny, vaguely. Basically, 70s kind-of-dopey sex comic, with the blonde title character played as a bimbo – kind of a more highly sexed-up Doris Day.
I was really surprised to learn that it was an Art Spiegelman comic, but then I first became familiar with him a few years later, through RAW and Maus.
