[/Travel] I also had a strange reaction to this movie - the first time I saw it, I loved it; the second time, I laughed a bit when the sniper started shooting people. Two things are for certain: Michael Rapaport (nazi sniper) is one of the more annoying actors on the planet, and Omar Epps deserves mad props for somehow turning a career based on playing misguided high school and college students into being a doctor on t.v.
I own "Baller Blockin'" on VHS. I can send you a copy. It's awful.
That's not surprising, even though Mannie Fresh is far and away the most consistently hilarious guest on Rap City. If nothing else, I remember "Baller Blockin'" for three things: the beat on "Project Bitch," the Bravehearts somehow ending up on the soundtrack (it's no "Braveheart Party," but it was damn close) and the commercial with the white cop trying to pronounce "wodie" (sic?).
Anyone who's heard "Don't Sang It" knows that La Chat has never really been given her true chance to shine. I mean, Gangsta Boo makes an appearance on some of Three-6's biggest hits (e.g. "Chicken Headz,"), yet La Chat gets shuffled into the background.
This woman deserves a feature film all her own.
La Chat was on "Chickenhead." You ridin' clean, but yo gas tank is on "E." I think Gangsta Boo left by then because she found God and moved to Atlanta. For further information. consult your local library for "Let's Start A Riot," from "Da Unbreakables."

The most interesting news I have is that I saw a Drive By Truckers video on CMT this morning and as I was watching the clips from one of their shows, I was thinking, that venue looks strangely familiar - the shots from the dirty backstage area, the cans of PBR in everyone's hand, the airbrushed looking backdrop - and then I saw the hanging christmas lights above the hordes of drunk hippies and I realized that it was none other than my personal favorite, the 40 watt.
I really do love that place. I think I really made a name for myself there.

How are you going to miss the classic Remy (Michael Rappaport) lines? The best is when he's trying to make friends at the frat party, and asks a guy "I wonder what they have to do to get in here...I bet it's...crazy stuff".
As I said, those were off the top of my head, but damn, my bad for missing that one. The best part is Remy repeating "crazy stuff" to himself. Poor guy. He just wanted to fit in. I really wish something would be done about all the white guys joining hate groups because they got balled from their first-choice house during rush.
