Amanda Palmer + Regina Spektor? Dag. I need to move to Britain. And see the good music for once. Or, at least the east coast.

Ah, the iPod. It really is worth it. Did you get the 60 GB version? I have, let's see, 537 albums on mine, and my Pod is a bit less than half-way full. On a whim, I decided to listen to everything I have in order by album title. That was in March. I'm in the R's.
The only album I have that iTunes *didn't* recognzie was by Barbara Cue, an obscure local band from Athens, GA. Which is odd, because of the several obscure, local bands from Athens whose stuff I own, Barbara Cue is probably the least obscure, being a side project of Widespread Panic. But the others were in there.
The Dresden Dolls, I love them. Actually I had heard of them before, but bought the record pretty much due to your rave about them on your other site. Not the X-Axis. The *other* other site. Is that still up?
Anyway, I'm jealous. Just like I am every August of those in Edinburgh.

Yes, the Livejournal is still up - I'm using it for non-review stuff at the moment, so it doesn't do much. But it's there.
And yes, I bought a 60GB iPod, and I'm still ploughing through the laborious task of scanning my CDs. After another couple of hours work, I'm now up to... Daft Punk. *sigh*
Oddly enough, iTunes didn't recognise the debut album by Chicks on Speed, which isn't *that* obscure. Bit surprised by that.

Sheesh, it took me over two months to scan all my stuff in. Do you really have all your CDs in alphabetical order? Is that some sort of lawyer thing?
Oh, if you haven't figured it out, you should proof-read every track. Some people can't spel wort a danm.

I don't have *everything* in alphabetical order, no. Just a large chunk of it. Once I get through that, I start on the other half of the collection that isn't in order...
Today's progress report: Franz Ferdinand.
