Her Space Holiday really is a solid act. "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend," which you can dl from the website, is pretty good, and you can hear "Forever and a Day," off their new album, by clicking the small purple dot in the bottom right of their website. I dunno. It can get a bit same-y after awhile, but it really works for me, for some reason.

Oh, and obviously they're also hampered by the fact that they can only play records with videos. But it would amaze you the sort of records that still manage to have videos.
Oh gosh, I remember The Chart Show, when it strayed from the more mainstream charts into something like the Indie Chart where the number one would inevitably be some band so small and skint that they didn't have a video, and someone at the production office would get the early-90's video effects machine out and do weird lava lamp-style stuff with a photo of the band, allegedly in time with the music. Great stuff.

Is there an official name for this genre, which basically involves the sort of songs that folk musicians have been doing for years, but with a semi-electronic arrangement?
Folktronica?
No worse than any other genre name. (Trip-hop?)
My Morning Jacket is really good, by the way. They're the new New American Radiohead. (Wilco was the
previous New American Radiohead.)
Is this thread even open anymore?
