"Strangest of all, we never actually find out the identity of the people threatening Naylor. It doesn't matter, because they're just a metaphor, but it's still a bold move to leave such a major plot point unresolved."

This is the major point of divergence from the book's plotline, and one of the reasons the film is much stronger: in the novel, this opened up a subplot about corporate intrigue with Naylor's bosses double-crossing him. Buckley's book is much better when it's not getting caught up in the thriller elements, and the movie made a smart decision to stick to the good stuff.

Gravatar There's a TINY X-Men connection Paul, if you're curious. The Kid plays Leech in X3
