It's just occurred to me that the plot of Ratatouille is basically Cyrano de Bergerac, only instead of love you have cookery, and instead of a guy with a big nose you have a rat. Hrm.
I wonder how many people decided not to see this film on the grounds that a rat in a kitchen is just inherently icky no matter what the context? It might sound shallow, but that's what's putting me off. I don't want to be thinking about rats scuttling around restaurant kitchens, anthropomorphic or otherwise.

With regards to your cinema, the Eletric in Birmingham has recently been renovated and they've gone for the same deal. Didn't seem a particularly clever idea to me but maybe I was wrong. Does the Dominion also have a system where you can text your refreshment order to the staff who'll then bring it to you?

Ooh, that's a bit hi-tech for the Dominion. They only take online booking for two screens on two nights of the week...
But yes, it seems to be working for the Dominion. They're charging London prices for these seats and most people are paying them.

The Dominion is awesome. Nothing but good memories of that place, probably since it was the very first cinema I ever went to (we saw Jungle Book). I miss staying in that part of town, since now the nearest cinema is a generic multiplex - and not even a good one, just a Vue. Their downstairs cafe is a pretty good place for a chilled out lunch as well.
