Gravatar Sadly, the WWE are unlikely to reduce the number of PPVs in a year, which has gotten insane. (Heck, it went insane back when it was bumped up to 12.) Making all but four PPVs brand specific gave people a better idea of what to ignore. I wonder if dropping the brand separation will actually do damage to sales at a greater rate in the long run than watching ECW and Smackdown shows tank.

On a related note, the idea of the WWE televising matches overseas was raised before. The WWE has done just that for the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I can't say whether eager non-US crowds were an improvement. I haven't seen an episode of Raw in possibly over a year. And the two episodes of Smackdown were so poorly constructed as to deserve silence and apathy. (In that regard, it was a success. Sound editting didn't have to overlay two hours of fake crowd audio, as the European crowds made at least some noise, unlike the US audiences of Smackdown.)

Gravatar Is Smackdown vs Raw 2006 any good?

Gravatar If you are referring to the videogame, its the same thing its been for years, just more refined. If you are a wrestling fan and have money to waste, then buy it.

Oh, and, interesting read Paul. I don't watch wrestling anymore, but I find your comments on them interesting nonetheless.

Gravatar Heck, I don't watch wrestling at all, and never will, and I still read these.

Gravatar So, um, Vince won the ECW title. I get the feeling that he did just to really annoy Paul Heyman.
