They could always turn Edge face and have him feud with heel Punk. I see Edge (character-wise) as a modern day Ric Flair; he's a great heel, but he'd be easy enough to turn on the basis of the fans respecting him.

Gravatar They can't turn Edge face. The Hardy freaks hate him.

The funniest thing about both the "Bash" and Punk is that Vince went on a tear about "southern wrassling" and decided that the name "Great American Bash was too WCW, and therefore too southern" and banished it, along with guys wearing title belts around their waists (too southern?), something Punk is either exempt from or ignoring.

Gravatar After a ludicrous 5 title changes last month, you'd hope for a bit of stability, but realistically all 6 titles could switch.

Mysterio should be a lock and I agree it is moving way too quickly (still looking for them to pass off the IC title to a mid-carder), but that's WWE's balls-up of having 5 PPVs in 3 months. I think HHH might annoyingly win as WWE like to have babyface champions during the summer and they then have a reason to needlessly drag this boring & dull feud on. McCool will probably pick up the Women's title cause she is banging Taker. Even though she is a really rubbish wrestler and character. I just hate WWE's attitude towards women's wrestling.

Let the Colons retain to extend the feud a bit. Punk should retain and pull the trigger on his heel turn. Dreamer will unfortunately probably get a stay of execution. Him with the belt has set the highly enjoyable, and under-rated, ECW back at least a year.

Strangely though, the most important matches are the non-title ones. If they are serious about making new stars they need to let The Miz get in enough offence. He won't win clean as Cena doesn't put over guys, but Miz needs to at least look credible. Similar, but to a lesser extent with Ziggler, I'd like to see him win somehow but as long as it isn't a squash, it'll do.

Oh, and Sky Sports has this PPV, so at least it's a freebie.

Gravatar The slower burn on Punk turning heel has been good. While his 'stealing' the belt was a heel move, he has good enough reasons that he wouldn't go bad immediately.

Actually, I was thinking last week that it would be interesting to see Punk and Jericho align themselves together -- or, at least, be somewhat friendly as Punk sees what Jericho has been talking about with regards to the fans. Since Jericho is all about 'saving' people, it would make sense for him to build a little faction of former faces who see just how fickle crowds can be.

Gravatar I thought this was one of the ones we had to pay for. I'll watch it for free, but I only pay for the Big 4.

Jericho & Punk together could make an inresting team actually, Jericho doing his usual saving bit, Punk mentioning saving the WWE Title from a Meth-head. I'm not sure you are meant to mention Jeff's "issues" anymore though.

Gravatar You were never supposed to mentioned Jeff's issues. I think the difference between Jericho and Punk is(or will be when the heel turn is completed) Jericho is supposed to be more serious. He's to busy leading his one man crusade to have a good time, but Punk is plainly loving his time as champion.

I'm actually enjoying Ziggler/Khali. And I'm hoping the COlons hold onto the tag titles so they can lose them to the Hart Dynasty.

Gravatar i haven't watched 'Professional' wrestling since i was about 10 years old, and certainly won't start now, but I love reading your write-ups of these events. You allow me to vicariously experience the inanity without having to commit my time or money or IQ points.

Gravatar Regarding the TagTeam match:
I understand that they want to somewhat build Priceless as a legit threat (for future use) and not get a Hawkins/Ryder #2 on their hands, but, let's face it, they're on R A W. They'll still end up jobbing to the big guns, but now with gold on their shoulders. Jobbing the Tag division with it.

As for a feud, logically they should extend it by having the Colons retain. Knowing WWE, they'll hotshot this.

Mask v IC Title:
Garaunteed Match of the Night.

This still is a hot feud that'll easily last all the way to SummerSlam, but on the other hand, the SD Midcard desperately needs elevation by virtue of contendership.

Orton v HHH - 3 stages of Hell:
Make it stop, please. The HHH-character was mercifully given a break and now they're undoing that by putting him straight back in the Main Event. This was the perfect chance for MVP, but...sigh.

Given that HHH doesn't do midcard feuds (Hardy and Kozlov ended up involving the title), I'm expecting to see him around the title for a long ass time.

Miz v Cena:
You put someone over on TV, you get bragging rights and facts on PPVs. Miz needs bragging rights for elevation.

Speaking of elevation;
I know RAW is notorious for killing off rising stars, but whatever happened to MV-on the next RAW I'm gunning for the WWE title-P? Or Mr. I-was-a-big-time-heel-on-SD Matt Hardy?
It's amazing how out of all the rising stars Morrison will be the first with a World Title (fingers crossed he doesn't get drafted). I thought Steph wanted to build new stars, apparently only Hayes got the memo.

Gravatar After watching this I think it was almost as good as WM this year, I would have happily paid for it.
