First time I've heard this one proper - I heard them do an acoustic version on BBC's Glastobury coverage and, well, it didn't send me to the internet in search of the proper song.
I'll agree that is a very odd match and I can't see it staying in the top 10 (let alone number #1) for very long, but anything can really happen - I mean, this got made in the first place.

Man, Basshunter is just generic. And what's the deal with Pornstars constantly being used in music videos? Reading the comments from the Youtube link it seems the girl in the video is one (with someone saying she's a glamour model)
Also, I find the rap from Europe to be seriously hilarious. I keep hoping there is a sense of satire in them, because as someone who has been in Europe, what is considered "tough" over there doesn't hold a candle to the USA (which is probably an indictment on the US more than anything against Europe, I fear).
I was in Germany, and there was some white rapper who the Germans just loved. He was this really skinny white guy who looked like a really emaciated Eminem with a bald head. And man, he was considered this real hardcore guy. Pfft.
There was also this Dutch rap duo who had a really bad song that had a video about a kid being "tough" by doing "hardcore" things like stealing a Nintendo DS and messing around in a store, while they rapped in the background switching between dutch and english.
Really, I guess it boils down to the rap videos I've seen in Europe to try and basically transplant a black rapper into a European setting, which doesn't really work at making the person look tough; it makes them look even more asinine than anything else.
But then we have Soulja Boy, the crowning jewel in completing turning rap into mumbling, incoherent crap.

I can't say much about European hiphop (though I do like some of the french stuff I've heard), but East Asian hiphop is even more laughably ridiculous. Seeing Koreans dressed up like "gangstas" just makes them look incredibly ludicrous.
The best thing I saw in relation to this was the metal detector set up outside a hiphop club. You know, to prevent guys from bringing guns into the club. In Korea, a country where not even the mob bother using guns.
