Whoa. They even got the 80s hair looking perfect! Too weird. |
Lord, help us all! That is one scary book cover. |
OHHHH goodie - do you think slouch socks, jelly shoes, and the feater clips for your hair will be back in style too?!?! I just love the 80s (not)... |
My friend & I were discussing this a couple of weeks ago. We couldn't decide if they just used an old photo (because it's not just the clothes that are 80s style, it's the hair, the makeup, everything!), or if the author/photographer is staging a revival. |
Oh dear God, that is horrific. Right down to the double belts. She is only missing the big earrings and Madonna-esque 15 necklaces? |
Not quite perfect. 80's jeans were skin-tight all the way through the ankles, but they were not low-waisted. (You zygotes may not remember.) That's what made them so uncomfortable - having to cinch that zipper all the way up. |
And we wonder why people act so surprised when they see us knitting edgy CURRENT designs. |
Hey we're old enough to remember, we just blocked it out of our mind because our parents FORCED us to dress that way. Well, me anyway. I know I'm not the only one who was told to wear tie-dye leggings to class pictures day at school. |
The fact that you posted an 80s-style book cover published in 2005 is sooooooooooooo awesome. |
Well, if we can imagine the sweater w/o the hair, belts, turtleneck, it's not so bad. Hey, she could be wearing layered Izod shirts! |
Is that... a dickey? |
I just bought a double wrap belt earlier this month. |
