Chester Frazier is my favorite Illini hands down.
This kid leaves it ALL on the court. We would be nowhere without him.
Great win yesterday and more important:
FUN GAME TO WATCH!!!!!!!
Welcome back Wonk!

It was a very exciting game.
I was surprised that MO, who had 12 fouls in the 1st half, could get so far into the 2nd half without fouling.
It certainly was a game full of ebb and flow on both sides.
There are a lot of positives for IL to build on.
I love watching Frazier play. He really shows us how tough he is by playing the whole game despite his bad foot.
I was amazed by Pruitt. Not that he can score 19 points but that he could play 33 minutes especially when it was such a fast paced game. (Last year he avg 19 1/2 min a game. This year he is avg 22 1/2 min a game. 8 more min is a lot for a big man. I wish they would have fed the ball into him about 6-8 more times.)
Randall seemed to come alive at the end of the game. A key tipped rebound off the missed FT and a great block on Hannah when he was driving in for a layup.
Brock was super on the boards. 6 rebounds in 9 min of play and this coming from a G- the number 4 G at that. Only Pru and Randle had more. 9 & 7 respectively in 33 and 24 min of play.
And a few things to work on. Even though they got their points; Mc Bride, Carter and Smith all struggled at times.
If the perimeter shooting is cold- 9-24 on 3's and 8-31 from the G's isn't red hot shooting, they need to work it inside more. Part of the problem for Carter is he only got 5 shots (that he wasn't fouled on.) Like Pruitt, he needed to get a few more touches.
But one of the things that has frustrated me about the IL teams over the yrs, even before Weber was coach, is they act a mid major team that lives and dies by taking 3's. Why not fake the 3, get their man in the air and drive around him. Then either take the shot 6-8 feet closer or dish it off to one of the big boys if he is left open?

I think it's impressive how quickly our talent has gone from all-world to Missouri-level.

What a drop in less than 3 years...from a team in the NCAA final to a team "hoping to finish 3rd in the Big Ten"!! Blame it on our incompetent Athletic Director...no to p recruit wants to be identified with the culture of losing that our AD has engrained in IL.
