Jay T. are we scared of the establishment?? We shouldn't be if we are really concerned with the health of our industry in the near future. You owe to all of us to fight the fight, just like I am doing.
I will say that we will lose some battles along the way, in fact the war may look lost at first. However we will lose if we don't fight.
I don't mind starting the fight, but I doubt I will finish it... the hope is that others will fall in line and continue doing the work needed to affect the change that we see coming to the positive.
JF, yes it is a beautiful place. I will post photo's in short order. The view are outstanding from high atop the various trails.
I've been playing competitive sports for most of my life. The two hikes I did this weekend were tougher than any one game or series of games I have ever played.
Add to the physicality is my less than comforted feeling on a trail with 'exposure'. Exposure means if you lean a little too far in the wrong direction you catch the fast elevator down with a rude and violent landing. Not my bag to say the least.
Luckily I took my portable XM mi-fi radio and sat atop the hikes to catch some of the Phillies games to calm my nerves.
Today I can barely walk without some level of pain. My lungs, calves, thighs, feet, and hands are hurting in one fashion or another.
Compared to me, my wife has the footing of a big horn sheep and the endurance of a Candian Goose during migration. There was lots of 'waiting for Todd' to catch up going both directions on the trails.
