Gravatar "Protect everyone it seems other than the seller in my opinion."

Stunning concept it would seem. When/if I sell my house, I want it plastered across the internet from here to Timbukto. Why woudn't we want the same for our sellers???

Frightening how many are out there though that want to keep their precious listing data all to themselves.

Gravatar Todd - congrats on having this post selected as "Pick of the Week" in this weeks Carnival of Real Estate! Awesome job!!

Gravatar Very interesting content, thanks. Sparked by a discussion over at RainCityGuide I've been doing a lot of thinking about our current archaic MLS data display rules. I should probably do a full post on that topic sometime.

Summary: "The problem is, in the Internet age, data has mysterious ways of escaping its confines, and enriching those who help it to do so."

Gravatar As an agent isn't it your job to put your client's home in front of as many potential buyers as you can? Access to MLS data shouldn't be held at arms length from the consumer. After all, it is THEIR data about THEIR home...
