I've been a member of the MCLA for at least 6 years, Todd. I've never seen a reference to this little publication till I read your posting today. I've been very positively impressed by the timely reporting, good photos and maps, and good predictions about what is just around the corner. They were predicting a slowdown in development just before the slowdown really got into gear, just as they are now sounding positive about a return to progress in the near future. The newsletter was headed for the trash as I was opening mail, but I'm glad it didn't make it. I wish MCLA had a website, but since they don't I felt that I could at least share some of the info on what was, I agree, a fairly positive outlook.
They even left out the copper mine that is nearing completion to reopen (many jobs by all reports), and no mention of the Wal-Mart distribution center that according to some has agreed to all necessary bids and one eyewitness account that there is work being done on the property right now (I haven't seen that for myself though, but then again I haven't looked).
Also, Steve, hang in there on the ACC in regards to Utilities Inc. I don't have any solid info at this moment, but I have been 'efforting' since I saw your recent posts on Topix.
