Gravatar I agree with Paz. This sounds so straightforward. I really like it when I feel like I can make a dish without a recipe, just using a good idea of what flavors are involved. There is a nice cooking show called Chef at Home and the philosophy of the chef is to cook without a recipe, but instead to find inspiration with an ingredient and use fresh/seasonal items to go along with it. I usually walk away feeling like, hey, I can make that...I don't even need a recipe!

Gravatar What!? Are you two chatting here!! But I agree with yoy, I like cooking simple dishes for oour everyday meals and then go for the grand stuff now and then. If you have nice ingredients, the inspiration usually pops up!
