That is quite an unusual combination, I don't think I've ever heard of that. Is that salad common in Italy?

It is a typical Sicilian dish where they have the most gorgeous oranges! It is a particular salt-sweet combination, I like it a lot nowadays, when I was younger I wouldn't even have tasted it! At least one positive thing about growing older...

I love savory orange salads. Especially with olives. I once had the salad with sliced red onions and parlsey at a Moroccan restaurant. Went really well with chicken.

Ilva, You are more than welcome to show up in Oregon any time you would like! Though...you might have to dress like your shadow in order for me to recognize you! I love to stone wall picture - and you're right! They do look similar! That salad sounds so unique! What kind of oranges do you have there?

Ilva, your photos continue to amaze me. I made one of your Chicken dishes and I will post what I did soon. I know that you don't celebrate Thanksgiving there but still have a wonderful day and hug your kids for me.

Wasabi-I odesn't surprise me, there are a lot of arabic influences in the Sicilian cuisine!
Michelle-well, I will have to come when it's cold otherwise I will sweat too much! I can't remeber what type of oranges they are but I think any type goes as long as they are sweet and tasty!
Vicky-thanks! I'll hug them from you, they will love it it, a authentic American hug!!
Paz-it's wonderful if you like that type of taste combinations!
