Lucullian delights

Gravatar Wow, a six-hour feast? Sounds like quite the spread!

Gravatar Yum, sounds good! I am catching up on everyone's blogs since Thanksgiving, so I missed a bunch of your posts! I hope that you will join me in a Holiday Cookie Exchange later this week. I will host the swap and it will be on Friday (I'll keep posting over the weekend, like weekend herb/cat/dog blogging). We are hoping to do this a couple more times before Christmas, and I think that Vickie over at the Moveable Feast will host once. Anyway, your cookies look delicious! I especially like the walnut cookies with the jam in them.

Gravatar Sweetnicks-well, we just remained sitting there for 6 hours, eating and talking, drinking and eating-you know, the way it is sometimes when it is raining outside and the company is nice!

Dawn- Nice to hear from you! I'll try to make something if not for this Friday the next!

Gravatar Sound great - I'm going to ask for that dish this evening!

Gravatar Sound delicious.

Gravatar Ghone-I thought you did the cooking...

Jane-Thanks!

Gravatar My same comment as Sweetnicks, "Six hours?" Wow! But I like those kind of meals where one enjoys the food, company, and discussion and nothing is rushed. That doesn't happen often in my neck of the woods. Everything is rush, rush, rush...

Gravatar Hi Ilva.
I am looking through old posts in your blog and I am totally captured. This is great. I have been a blogger for about two years - why haven't I discovered your blog before
Well, I plan to make up for that now.

This omelette is making me hungry. Luckily we are off to a party tonight, and I know the food will be great (the party givers, good friends of us, have a flat in Terracina, south of Rome)

Gravatar Britt-Arnhild-Thanks! I hope you enjoyed your party!
