How nice to be able to get fresh, good eggplants at a good price. It's a good thing that you have some good recipes to make the eggplants.

Looks good! Please tell me how you prepared the porcini for storage in the freezer...were they dried? And how do you handle them after you remove them from the freezer? One ounce of dried porcinis here is $12 and if I ever find a better price, I want to buy a bunch and store them!

Lisa-I buy them already frozen right now but when I freeze them myself, I usually braise them first and then I freeze them. Those that I buy are frozen fresh so to speak.
