Those are some gorgeous pictures of sky, my dear! I have honestly never tried vin santo, and I would really like to. I think I'll have to do it up right and dip some of your biscotti di prato to go with it!

Oh my! Your biscotti look amazing! Right now I am absolutely craving an almond biscotti with Vin santo - we ate such pretty, small, crisp biscotti in Tuscany when we were there years ago - dipped in Vin santo - I had forgotten this!
Now - to make them gluten free is the challenge. Thank you for writing about this - it's a wonderful memory...

I like that your recipes are not so complicated like this one.
Looking forward to your cookbook meme response.

Michelle- Vin santo is quite sweet and not too bad but I can really recommend two other sweet dessert wines that are much more to my liking: Grecale and Moscato di Pantellerie, both from Sicily! Try any of those!
Karina-I have never had to bake with gluten-free flour but I think I have to try just to understand how it works and where it differs from ordinary flour. Tell me if you make any gluten-free biscotti, well you don't need to because I usually check you blog!
Paz- your comment makes me wonder if you mean that this recipe is simple or if my own recipes are simple and this not!?

I have made this kind of biscotti many time and can vouche that it's a killer recipe. I love having biscotti with my coffee or tea. I love how hard them are. It gives me something to chew on when I have a problem!

I mean this recipe and all your recipes are simple, so that I WANT to try them. I am not intimidated. I wanted to make the biscotti this Saturday but I didn't have any eggs. I had all the other ingredients. I meant to go buy eggs but I forgot. Maybe this Sunday, I'll remember.
Also when I say "simple," I mean that the ingredients are not overwhelming. I don't have to go to 10 different stores to look for the ingredients. These are ingredients that I have or can easily find -- flour, sugar, almonds, baking powder, etc... I have these ingredients.

First of all: I love your page!
I tried to make the biscotti, but it didn't turn out well. The dough really didn't want to come together. I added another eggyolk, and later some olive oil. But then I still couldn't do much with it - it stayed crumbly. In the end I just pushed the crumbs together into some sort of logs. The result was ok, but they weren't good biscotti. Do you know where I went wrong?

tycha-I haven't made these for such a long time that I just don't remember, sad isn't it. I think I will delete this post and come up with an easier biscotti recipe instead!
