Lucullian delights

Gravatar Very original idea. Love the quinoa concept and the orange colour!!! I recognize those candied orange peels!

Gravatar Brilliant!!

Gravatar Wow. I give you a 10 on presentation alone!

Gravatar I have never worked with quinoa before although I've seen recipes using them. The idea of a sweet dessert intrigues though and you can't go wrong with candied orange peel and ginger!

Gravatar By the way, Ilva, I wanted to tell you that I made your eggplant meatballs and really liked them. I used lamb as the meat. Mmm! I couldn't taste the eggplant so much, but it lent an especially nice texture.

Gravatar Beautiful pcitures Ilva! I'd have never though of using quinoa in a dessert, but I guess it's sort of like rice pudding? Anyway, it looks delicious!

Gravatar Bea-I bet you do!

Alanna-thanks!

Jamie-Thanks, I think lamb's meat must be excellent in those meatballs!

Rowena-You're so right, ginger and orange peel is a safe bet!

Cathy-neither had I, it's a bit lighter than a rice pudding. And thanks!

Gravatar May I have a taste, please?

Paz

Gravatar what a great idea - and another orange pink picture (I love those two colours together). I echo Paz - I would love a taste too.

Gravatar Paz and Sam-you are both welcome! But Sam, it's orange and violet this time!!

Gravatar Wow! This looks very interesting. I thought of quinoa as a savoury ingredient, but thanks to blogs you always learn something new and delicious.

Gravatar I've never thought of quinoia for for sweet dishes. What a great idea!

Gravatar ha looks magenta pink on my screen - unless i put it through photoshop when it really does go violet with the colour correction

Gravatar Dreska-To tell you the truth I have done very little cooking with quinoa so far because it is not easy to find where I live!

Elise-Thanks!

Sam- maybe it's me seeing the original colour in my mind, some kind of psychological hang-up...
