CC-If that's not a failure, what is??? The light source is natural daylight, i take some photos with my kitchen door open, and please don't ask me things like f-stop, you make me feel inadquate and ignorant...(I don't even know what you are talking about...)

Elain-Let'ss take out here because I'm just having problems writing mail right now: I use a Sony DSC H1 since after Christmas, I know very little about the technical aspects of photography, I just go on instinct. I sometimes, but rarely, cut my pictures, sometimes I use photoshop but with my new camera I don't need this when the light is good. I haven't read anything but I have always been taking pics. So my advice is to practice your eye, think about the composition when you look through the camera lens and read what people say about photography. And tell me when you start your blog!

b2b-for the camera, see above. What do you want to know about my dishes? I buy plates when I see a nice one, like one at a time. Some we eat on, a few are antique (got them from my mother-in-law) and some I use just for the pics. I wish I had more of them...

i just love them. i am so drawn to the italian ceramics. they're so beautiful. when i was in rome last year i spent four hours walking through a tile show dreaming about what i could do with all the gorgeous tiles there. i wanted to take samples of all of them home with me. too bad my suitcase was already packed with 90 year old balsamic, and EVOO.
