Sounds really good - and so easy to handle when having guests. Will print this to put into my "to do" file. It's funny but many childhood memories (those we remember extremly well) seem to have to do with situations when we did not get the appreciation which we deserved...

My grandmother made a cold potato soup that I crave to this day. She had a large garden and I'm sure would have been bringing everything in fresh. I'm always looking to duplicate it. I must try this one.
It was always a special atmosphere in the house after a party like that.
Can't make up for the lack of being raised to the sky then but
I thank you very much for sharing the memories now and the recipe.

I was looking for a cold Italian soup to make. This looks great.
This is our "Italian Summer". My husband and I have been cooking Italian for about a month now. It is great fun and we are learning a lot. Thanks for the recipe. I have bookmarked your blog and will be checking back soon!
