Lucullian delights

Gravatar Only you, Ilva could make a "cheap, plastic" food mill look so alluring that I now regret my more expensive stainless steel one and covet yours instead.

Gravatar I love getting an inside look into your kitchen!! I would love, and I have been thinking about asking you for a while...if you would do a "Food Photography" tutorial/post for us newbies on some of your techniques...if you don't mind sharing your magic. SARA

Gravatar Very interesting!

Paz

Gravatar I couldn't decide on just one, either. Thanks for sharing!

Gravatar Ilva, are you sure that's plastic, I took it to be glass which I thought rather odd for a food mill.
You are incredible.
I must find some of those silicone straps - they look very useful.

Gravatar I have a plastic one, but am saving my euros for a good stainless-steel model. Then I don't have to worry about raspberry stains and stinky leftover garlic smells.
But I supposed if I had a green one, I'd be happier than with the homely yellow one I've been using.

Gravatar Oh, I have been hunting for a good food mill - I am so jealous of yours! And only your photography could make two run of the mill objects look like things of utter beauty!

Gravatar ilva your food mill, at first glance, looked to be of depression glass. Wow was I about to be jealous. I can see why your love of this object exists you use it often and it never fails.
Now about thos silicone straps??? they must be very European as I have not seen anything like that here in the US - if so let me know.
My favorite food item gadget does not exists because there are so many. Sorry I missed the event. BTW your photos continue to improve daily.
Thank you

Gravatar Sam-What a nice compliment! Thanks!

Sara- I will think about it but I'm not so sure of what I can teach you...some basic rules maybe? There are so many fodd bloggers who make better photos than I though.

paz-What about your fav gadget?

Jeanne-isn't it difficult?!

Tanna and doodles-yes it is plastic!! The straps can be found here:

And thanks!

David-Must be the colur! Btw,you can have one of my fancy ones! Next time you go to Slitti, you tell me and I'll meet you there!

Ellie-Thanks! Food mills are beautiful !

Gravatar for the Americans - the food loops have been available in Sur La Table for quite some time. I first read about them on Rachael's fresh approach blog in January.
