Oh, how funny! I have a recipe involving rosemary and apples sitting in drafts folder right now. I need to actually post it before apple-picking season ends, really.
Your jellies look beautiful, and I just love the styling of the photos.

Really beautiful. I agree, your food styling is just fantastic. That is a talent I just don't have. I love the idea of rosemary and apples combined in something slightly sweet.I'm also posting a recipe with rosemary this week, so we're on the same wavelength there.
Love hearing how you save your recipes-to-try in a notebook. I just started doing that too. I have so many cookbooks (and so little time to spend looking through them) I had to get organized. Online, I use del.icio.us pretty faithfully, but from cookbooks I save them in the notebook now.

If you add a little lemon you maintain apple's original color. It sounds great to go with pork.
Congratulations again.

Love the idea! I've been eyeing a recipe for rosemary-apple tarts for a while now. Even though I've never actually tasted the combination, somehow it just seems perfect.

what a wonderful combination or treats for the eye and the palate. And you are so right about fresh apple juice, so very tasty!

I love the idea of these and I really like how you juiced your own apples for the jellies - I'll bet that made a world of difference in taste - yum! I also agree with Zulmy, I think this would go great with savory pork as well as a (quite beautiful) treat. :D

Fascinating apple jelly. I wish I also had ONE notebook instead of drowning into slips and files and recipe collections.

How spooky, Mrs Pig & I went out for a lovely meal with Taoski and his wife on Friday.
I had a tremendous white chocolate mouse tower for pudding and in the top was a sprig of rosemary! What a special smell...

I love that little "whisker" of lint on your top photo. Sometimes it just can't be helped.
Every time I pick something out of my garden for a picture, there's a little extra bit of "nature."

Oh I love these jellies! They look so luscious, yum! I've never attempted to make jellies, this looks like I should give it a whirl and see what happens, wish me luck!
A dentist told me once that a raw apple eaten out of hand was an excellent way to neutalize plaque on your teeth. Indeed a great food!!!

I made some apple jelly then gently combined it into some thick whipped cream, then grated some hard toffee over them just before serving. hmmm
And as always, wonderful pictures

Amazing picture, but more than that I love the idea of making jelly from fresh juice! I haven't had jelly since I was a child, and even then it was that horrible packet mix stuff which I hated - this may actually change my attitude to jellied treats!

Hélène-Thanks!
Aagje-And to you too a thank you!
Danielle-Oh, great, I'm looking forward to see what's your apple-rosemary dish is like! And thanks!
Kalyn-What?? Rosemary and not cilantro??!! I think notebooks are better because you can bring them along everywhere, I often sit on the sofa in the evening, looking in it thinking about what I can do!
Zulmy-yes! I did think about it but I was a bit afraid of the lemon taste being too strong, I wanted the rosemary to dominate! This version might be a bit too light in taste but if you don't add the water, the taste would get stronger!
Melissa-Thanks, it is a nice combination! I'm looking forward to your post about it!
doodles-it is nice with juice made at home, so much more taste of whatever fruit you use! And thanks!
Lisa-It does make a difference! Thanks! For the pork issue, see my answer to Zulmy.
Karina-Thanks, you are nice!
eszter-thanks! So you go out and buy yourself a beautiful notebook (I choose mine very carefully) and copy all the scraps etc into it!
Ghone-hmm must be the Halloween air...
Cc-I was just waiting for this, that someone would spot that little extra! hmmm...
krista -thanks and yes it is!
connie-it's so simple and the best thing is that it kind of works on its own! Try it!
gattina-But it does, I love using for. ex. basil with sweet things! Thanks!
Meeta-thank you! I hope you will like it!
Roo-that sounds interesting...and good! And thanks for your kind words!
Ellie- Thanks! I had those too but I loved them! Mostly for the horrid colours I think! But I have to say that this way of making them is MUCH better! Try it, you probably change your mind...

Beautiful picture yes - but also the most original recipe I've seen all year. I've been trying to make something sweet with rosemary for a while, but couldn't find anything quite right.
Well done!
