Oh, Ilva, I'm glad for you that your mother is still around. You know how much I understand what you are going through! It's good that you were up there recently visiting her. I hope she continues to be stable.
Your new year's day photo was fantastic!
Felice buon anno amica! Jeni

It can only be good to know yourself well enough to understand the way it works for you.
I do think the will to live is a very mysterious thing and there may yet be something for your mother to be here. What do we really know about Alzheimer's or the mind?
Peace.

Stability might sound boring but it can be so comforting in more than one way.

I'm glad to hear that when you now visit your mother, it will be more of a visit instead of a last visit, at least that is what I hope for you. Love and light....Marla

Really pleased to hear your mother did indeed make a recovery - hopefully 2008 will be filled with more of those positives (like winning 1 billion euros in the lottery...?)

Really good to hear that your mom recovered from the bad period of illness she went through Ilva, and I am glad that you will now have an opportunity to see her again. Even though she may have severe alzheimers you as her daughter WILL, in some way, get through to her in some little corner of her mind. And you will be able to tell her something good and reassuring, both to her and to you. Take whatever precious moments you are given with her and treasure every one of them. They are treasured gifts and will stay with you long, long after she has finally left you. I have experienced this to be so true. I am praying for you, and for your mom, sweet Ilva, hugs and love from Colleen
