I know this will taste beautiful but it's the color that's pulling me in. It's like sunshine and just screaming healthy tasty full of anti-oxidants!
Not sure about the worry as a parent thing. If I allowed myself, I could let my mind become a whirlpool of black worry that would suck me away from the world and you'd never hear from me again. Are there more things for us to worry about than our parents had? Ha, my Dad still worries about us. But Moms and Dads worry so differently and about different things.
I guess one thing is for sure being a parent, mom or dad, has an amazing amount of universal aspects to it.
Hugs.

Hi Ilva..you must of been reading my mind..have been looking this morning for a new lentil soup..will try this one!!!
I am the mum of two grown-up boys, I worried about them for years, over some really little things, but I have changed, yes I still worry, but in a different way, and they now have partners.

I too have been looking for new lentil soup recipes, so thanks for posting one not calling for tomato, carrots, and celery (the usual ingredients)--saffron and orange are far more interesting. Last night, I made a lentil soup with chestnuts and red chard (and leftover roast goose from New Year's Eve).

God, Ilva! I LOVE how you're talking about parents and children and worrying, then BAM! right into the recipe. I love how your mind works. Oh, and I also love your silverware. LOL

Yet another way to eat lentils - excellent.
On the topic of oranges, I sometimes like to stir in a spoonful of Marmalade at the end of making pumpkin soup - a lovely kick to the flavour.

Tanna-yes, we all worry don't we. My parents werejust so good at keeping it to themselves, well my mother because I'm not so sure my father did worry until I was 25 and he suddenly realized that I was travelling a lot alone around Europe and suddenly started to worry! And then I had been doing that since I was 18...
Anne-good! Yes the worry changes as they change age, I worry about different tings when it comes to my youngest and my oldest (10 years of difference). and the one in the middle.
ews-Thanks!
Lilian-chestnuts and lentils must be a very good combination, I better try that! Thanks!
Paul-XX as always!
Sally Thanks, sometimes it moves faster than me! Out of control. And for your information, I only have one of those spoons, I would have to spend a fortune to have them all!
Laura-Thank You! I feel honoured!
sugarlaws- Great! Thanks!
dmm-that is a great idea, I'll remember that!
