Lucullian delights

Gravatar Ilva, I will follow the instruction to a T except the fennel seeds, yuk, should I replace it with something or just leave it out??? Vida x

Gravatar Coming over here I get my daily dose of temptation........ This looks heavenly.

Gravatar Ooooh, a tag for me! Thanks Ilva - I'll get my thinking cap on straight away. Long slow cookign sounds perfect for the chilly autumn evenings we are having. This recipe looks fantastic - and unusual to see white wine featured in a red meat recipe. Thanks for sharing

Gravatar This sounds and looks so delicious! Just the other day I was looking through your recipes in search for ideas how to cook meat, and this is a very welcome addition. I still read your blog every day, I just haven't managed to post comments because I'm always writing or running, or doing something else...

Gravatar This looks divine, heavenly...food for the gods!

Gravatar OK! OK! I'm on it!

Seriously, that does look good, though. Luckily I have a delicious braise waiting in the wings.

Gravatar Hmmm that looks so yummy!! If it werent so darn hot here I would jump right through my screen to get at that gorgeous blue & white bowl of meat!! I shall definitely be keeping this recipe for March/April when we have cooler Autumn weather.....worth waiting for...Thanks Ilva

Gravatar Wonderful, Ilva! I love that it's done with white wine instead of red... and they're both great photos of meat Make me want to dig right in...with my fingers!

Gravatar It looks just delicious. I love fennel seeds so much!

Gravatar I'm a big fan of long, slow cooking of meat. This looks and sounds fabulous and I'm sure there are a few more cool days for me to fit it in before summer hits.

Gravatar I just got half a kilo of fennel seeds which is more than enough for trying to make Italian sausages at home. This dish is going to be my next project with the fennel seeds.

PS - Your pictures are really tempting.

Gravatar How wonderful Ilva! And you made it look so beautiful - I think braised meat's one of the hardest things to photograph. And I really love the fennel seeds here. We've got the remnants of Hurricane Noel coming through NYC today. It's cold, blustery, and perfect weather for this dish! Thank you!

Gravatar Sounds fantastic to me!

Gravatar Very happy! thanks for asking And I have a new routine: skyping at 5 or 6 am every morning; the only time, with the 6 hrs time difference, that it's quiet enough for both of us to talk. I never thought I'd have any desire to get up at 5 am...

Gravatar Hi Ilva . . . I'm so glad Katie tagged you for my "Braisy Chain!" I'll be doing a round-up later this week and will include a link to your post.
