I'm a big soup fan, too! This looks like a much more interesting potato leek soup than most. I think it would pass the husband test!

Ilva, I couldn't agree more: thyme is gorgeous! I picked some sprigs of it in the garden myself this morning while visiting my family. I looked for the chives too, but they were frozen under the snow. Ahh, this weather... Two days ago we got some serious snowfall and now it's been raining cats and dogs since yesterday.

Your comfort soup is just what one needs on such rainy day. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thyme is one of my favorites, too. But chives by the side of the road? You are so lucky! I have rampant oregano and lemon thyme in my yard, but used the very, very last stalks of basil over the weekend (California, you know). Time to get even more thyme!!
