That looks really delicious, but what really catches my eye is the magnificence of the photos. Really lovely. I like the way that you've captured the bits of oil on the surface of the soup.

I have a favorite tomato soup recipe. My girls love it, but always after eating it they ask; Mom, can we have Toro readymade soup next time......

What a fabulous looking soup. I will put this on the "to make" list. I love tomatoes and melanzane also and your phots do it justice as well as your new photo, although you could just move that camera over a little bit so we can see a bit more of you.

Di-It's the variety of the tomatoes that looks like that, San Marzano. They are especially good for tomato sauces!
LOL - you and my husband have a lot in common! He also adores Bloody Marys - but as someone who spent about the first 30 years of her life studiously avoiding tomatoes, it's still not my drink of choice... I have started seeing the value in chilled tomato soups though, and beautiful fresh tomatoes like the ones pictures - lovely!
