Lucullian delights

Gravatar Ooh I have an eggplant and some chickpeas sitting around that have just been asking to be used...this is perfect

Gravatar Oh I am ready for that! I guess it might be a little odd but I think that might be just right for lunch!

Gravatar That dip sounds just fabulous. I don't make dip much either, although I do buy hummus all the time. It's one of my main "eating while blogging" snacks!

Gravatar I must try this one. Getting my kids to eat veg is necessary by bribing with dip! And this one is loaded with protein.

Gravatar I would not have thought to combine eggplant with hazelnut--so often the nut paired with the vegetable is the walnut--but this looks delicious. What would you call this in Italian? (What is the Italian word for a "dip," anyway?) Alas, eggplants are not in season here for another half year, so I'll have to wait a bit before I can make this... Thanks for the recipe, nevertheless!

Gravatar I love eggplants and I love chickpeas - this dip sounds perfect, not to mention healthy. My problem with dips is that I'm not so much inclined to reach for a good-for-you raw veggie as I am for bread or worse, potato chips!

Gravatar Bleeding espresso-Lucky you!

Tanna-when I was a student

Gravatar I completely relate to your comment on dips, as many (too many) are extremely unappealing and fattening with no nutritional value. I'm amazed at the large quantity of raw veggies my husband will consume if I serve them with a bean/veggie dip of some type. He often enjoys this low-calorie meal for dinner if I have a "girls night out".

Gravatar lisa- That's great, you can go out and feel as if you're doing a good deed!

Gravatar I like the eggplant salad, so I'm curious about this great-looking dip.
About HoTM, I've sent you my entry, but since I'm doing this for the first time I want to know if you guys usually confirm that you received the entries.
