I much rather be thanked by somebody who does so from the heart, rather than by learned social graces or customs. For me, you asking us, was honor enough. So, thank you, for letting us in in your beautiful garden of the mind (and the kitchen, especially the kitchen!).

Dont be so hard on yourself Ilva! Your amazing creative talent shows itself all over your blog for the world to enjoy and I thank you for that I love visiting you and wait with great expectation to see what your eye has caught through the lens of your camera. I am never disappointed. It was a difficult choice to make as to which of your lovely photos to vote for! Great photos today BTW....

I do sometimes envy those people who have a stash of cards for every occasion ready to be pulled out when the need arises! I also forget to say thank you sometimes and yet I try to teach my daughter to always remember. I'm sure she'll pull me up on it someday soon!
This looks delicious, will have to give it a go next time I have some pastry handy.

Merisi-Thanks, I will think about your words when I feel inadequate!
sara-Thanks!
Patricia-thanks to you too! But what can get wrong with tomatoes, onions and olives?
Meeta-Thank you! And it's really so simple to make!
Colleen- You are too kind but I absorb your words like a sponge anyway-thanks!
Tanna-I had some leftovers as you can see...
Laura-Let's not start on the subject of bringing up your children and their opinions about it, my oldest two are in full swing on that subject!
Lisa-Thanks baby!xxx
Lorraine-Thanks, it's good to hear that I'm not alone!
Kristen-Thank you!
jann-Thanks even though I think you are exaggerating a tiny bit! But who cares, it's nice to hear!

I'm like you - always think of the right thing to do when the perfect opportunity has passed.... so I am very tolerant of like-minded others LOL
Great idea for the puff pastry - I've been playing with it a bit lately. I had no idea it could be so simply used and so versatile!

Olive paste? What's that? Is it some sort of food that can only be found in Italy I wonder.

Katiez-I don't use puff pastry that often but I had to make some for something else and I'm using the left overs for various things and I have to say that it fun to use!
Sally- I googled olive paste before posting to be sure that's not only found here and I found several net shops that sell it so I'm sure that you can find it in any Italian food shop too! It's a cream made of olives and oil substantially, I would like to try to make my own too...

Hi Ilva,
Andrea over at 'Colouring Outside the Lines' gave me the link to your scrumptuous blog - since I just returned from an incredible two weeks in Italy. The food was amazing (it was terribly hard to come back to American food) - and your recipes look mouthwatering. I will have to see what can be approximated here with the ingredients at hand...
Thanks so much for sharing!
