Lucullian delights

Gravatar Mmmmmmmmmmm .... almonds, honey, cardamom!!!!! Do you have any left for me, pleeease?
P.S.:
The proper term for "taking out something wobbly from the form it's in" would be "unmolding", i.e. inverting the container ( = mold) with the molded food, usually over a (serving) plate.

Gravatar This sounds delicious! This is a dessert that I've wanted to try for a long time but have never gotten around to it! After seeing these gorgeous photos, I think that we'll be having this for dessert on the weekend!

Gravatar WOW!!! the olde addage never give uo rings true.....and looks good too. Ilva you are a champ! A dessert item I have never tried - imagine that... memo to self put it on the list.

Gravatar Wow, that is over the top beautiful! and heart healthy! This I need to do!

Gravatar It has to wobble!. That was the unwritten rule I remember from one of my college lecturers. She was a dragon, but I really owe her a lot.

With anything like this, I always leave them to set overnight, and then just as I am about to tip them out, I stand the mould in a little hot water, just a few seconds. Of course my mother still has a larder, with air bricks from the outside, that is always on the right side of chilled, and she has one particular spot that sets anything - oh how I envy that larder.

This looks delicious, and a wonderfully summer twist - yummy.

Gravatar That is something I'd love to try, Ilva - it looks refreshingly good!

Gravatar Excellent alternative, and very beautiful to look at!

Gravatar Stunning, beautiful, and refreshing... looks wonderful Ilva!

Gravatar I'm glad it turned out in the end. I definitely know how frustrating it can be when things don't turn out, (the crepe cake, the damn crepe cake!!!)

Gravatar The colors just pop off the page...looks wonderful.

Gravatar The blend of flavors is delicious. Anything with cardamom is awesome and pairs well with strawberries.
I just sent my entry to Joanna.

Gravatar Nice. But allow me to say, wouldn't it be a hearthy idea to loose all animal components(ie gelatin) and replace it with something like agar agar? I'm off desserts for the moment otherwise.........

Gravatar Merisi-Thanks! Of course, unmolding it is!

Ellie-It's even better with milk or almond milk like the use in Sicily I find but the first wouldn't be very heart healthy and the second takes a lot of time. And good almonds.

Doodles-Thanks!

Tanna-Wait until you see the roundup, I have a feeling that you will find a lot of nice recipes there!

Roo-yes, it has to wobble but not so much that it disintegrates!! I need to practice the art of patience...

patricia-Especially the strawberries!

aagje-maybe something to try your agaragar on?

gilly-Thanks!!

brilynn-thanks, I haven't even started yet .....

peabody-thank you!

helen.I love cardamom! I'm happy you are participating in the HotM!

Thomas-Thanks! well, those who want to can substitute the gelatin with agaragar, I prefer to work with gelatin personally.
